2007 Rust
I am getting quite a bit of rust around the wheel well of my 2007 ES350. The rust appears to be coming from the inside out, bubbling under the paint.
Should this be covered by the warranty?
I'd like to be armed with opinions, options, etc when I go to the dealer as I fear they will not cover it.
Thoughts?

I got the car in late 2008 and have not had any repairs on it. I don't know much history on it before that. *IF* it had been repaired, I wonder if that would affect the corrosion warranty.

in the firts picture it looks like something was added to the inner fender, like tape??
you should comparre to your other fenders to see if they are the same, doesn't look normal

I looked and there does not appear to be rust anywhere else on the car. So I just called the dealer I purchased it from (1200 miles form where I live now); there was indeed body work done by Lexus before I got the car. There is no indication of accidents on the Carfax. Crud, now what?

The work was not done by Lexus, but by a Lexus dealer or a Body Shop contracted by a Lexus dealer. Obviously the repair was not done properly You can't hold Lexus responsible for the work of a shoddy dealer, but you can report him.
I'll ask again - Was the car a CPO? If not, you'll have to fight the selling dealer. If it was, you have a good case for repair from Lexus, through a local dealer.

Exact same thing is happening to mine. I have a lot of tiny rust spots all around the car especially the trunk (where the license plate holds), the hood, the front bumper and recently a chunk of paint just came off from the door panel (yes im not joking, a grey spot is on the door panel). My car is not covered under warranty anymore cus it is passed 100,000km so i went to a toyota aftermarket dealer specialist for bodywork and paint. They said there was prior body work done to the car but I bought it brand new at the Lexus dealer in 2007. There was practically no mileage on it but for some reason, I remember we got a huge discount cus i assume he was being nice or something. And I did get the grey spot fixed and re-painted the left side of my car for approx $300cdn. The car is kept in the garage when not driven and it is washed at least once in a week or two. Apparently my friend who is driving the new RX is having the same issue.

I have paint bubbling issues near the center caps of all my wheels. Started last winter or this spring. No rust on actual body though. I was shocked when I saw this, so much for the weekly washes.
I probably can go another winter and then the wheels will have to be repainted.

Curious about your rust issue, Lexus vehicles undergo a zinc bath submersion in manufacturing, then undercoat, paint and clear coat so original body and paint is exceptionally durable although brake dust was causing issues on some cars I saw pre 2014. Different disclosure laws apply by province in Canada. In Ontario for example, on pre owned veicles the Dealership licensing law used to specify disclosure by dollar value or when 3 adjoining panels are painted or repaired...
