I have a 07 ultra and when I close the sunroof it always stops about 2/3rds of the way closed and then I have to hit the button again to close it all the way.
does anyone else have this issue or is should I get it repaired before my warranty runs out?

I have the 08 UL and the sunroof does close in a continuous manner.

Yes. Apparently it is normal behavior for the panoramic roof.

I assume that it is used as another kind of vent setting.

That's interesting -- my '09 UL requires you to hold the switch to close the roof, and when it stops midway, you have to release the switch and press and hold it again until it's fully closed.

When I brought the car in to change some of the presets, the dealer confirmed that there's no option for one-touch operation to close the roof on the UL.

On my 08 UL, there was always a stop partly closed then I had to release the button and finish closing. I think this is normal.

I don't have mine handy, but is there anything in the owners manual that covers the operation?

I don't have my car or my manual here right now nor do I have a UL but I think that one of the 2010 changes was that the sun roof no longer had the stop built in and instead had a pressure sensitive switch assembly. I'm pretty sure my 2010 is a single close motion. And I don't believe there was any kind of override in earlier models for obvious reasons.

This is a safety feature that has been implemented on many different cars for years.

I used to have a similar problem on mines too but it would open again when it goes half way. I took it to the dealer and they told me a bar was broken somewhere. they order another part and fix it a day later.

Correction: shame on me.... it does stop 2/3 of the way, then had to press again, but nice feature nonetheless.

The standard roof offers options on its operation, but not the UL, unfortunately.
