Default stock windshield wipers?

Just curious if ES 350 owners are happy with the performance of the OEM wipers that come with the car, or if some of you have a preferred brand that you use instead. How long do the stock blades last before they need to be replaced? What does your dealer charge for a replacement set. Thanks

The stock wipers have been fine for me although I live in Arizona and really don't have to use them very often.

The wipers are great, I usually get mine refilled at Toyota dealer every 20K miles.

My wipers still work great after 15 months. The rain sensing feature sucks but the blades work great.

17 months, 23K miles, lots of rain, snow, ice, and wipers are still like new.

I had the stock wiper blades which worked fairly well for a little while. However, due to "winter concerns", these blades with their "aero covers" liked to get clogged with ice/snow.

Based on that, I replaced both blades with BOSCH ICONS which are the "one piece" blades, so they cannot get clogged up the same way.

These are really good, but not cheap ! Ran about $38 for the pair. 24" for drivers side and if I recall 19" for the passenger side

So far so good. No snow around here. Just tons of rain (been raining for like 2 weeks now).

Lately, I've found that OEM wipers are as good or better than the aftermarket ones. I haven't tried the super expensive ones like those Bosch Icons, but for around the same price, just go OEM.

Default Stock Wipers on 2007 ES 350

I still haven't changed the stock wipers since they still work well but not as good as the first five years. We haven't had much rain anyways in San Diego, CA. I wonder what OEM brand Lexus used for the 2007 ES 350? They are unbelievably durable.

I recommend you go back to the Lexus Dealership and buy rubber wiper inserts and replace the old rubber inserts. The price should be ~$15 CAD for a pair, if I remember correctly.

This way you get the original part that was durable for 5 years and for a reasonable price.

I change my rubber oem blade with ebay silicone blades and been happy ever since. Seems like the rubber if pulled lightly, simply rip off, the silicone one is thicker and more elastic, not easy to pull out.

No problem here and I have OEM 2010 blades on my car with 30,000 miles. Unless you get any debris under them or you are in hot climates I think they will last a long time.
