Default Bosch Icon wiper

Has anyone tried these wipers? Do these blades make that more of a difference over the OEM ones? Just curious since it is almost time for a new blade change. I don't live in an area with snow but it does rain pretty hard.

Lemme know what you are using.
thanks

Tried those out a month ago...definitely worth the money. They look kinda wierd, but they do conform to the windshield alot better than "normal" wiper blades. So far, no issue with streaking.

I've tried aftermarket wipers on my other cars, didnt have much luck. So when my wipers needed replacement I went to the dealer and got the stock ones....seem to work well imo.

youve definitely never tried these micro edge wipers then man...and jeeze i can just imagine how much the stealer is getting for each replacement "OEM" wiper whenever you replace them..id be totally surprised if its actually cheaper then these...

tranman- you really thought these blades looked any different then a standard blade? i couldnt tell the difference really at all other then the improved performance...perhaps you're thinking of a different one?

The Bosch Micro Edge wiper is a standard style...the Bosch ICON is a new wiper style. I've noticed this style of wiper on newer Mercedes and Volvos...

Yeah that was at Lexus of Tulsa. This is only the rubber refill and not the wiper arm. I installed them myself in about 5 minutes.

EDIT found a post for OEM Refills at Sewell Lexus, TX for $6.00 each

Hmm, well my blades really suck and i need to replace them...

Can i just get inserts? do i have to buy the whole wiper? or just blades?

Can i just get bosch blades and replace them on my oem ones?

never really played with my windshield wipers before...

any help would be appreciated!

I bought the CTF (Cut To Fit) refils from Autozone. They were too big for the stock metal frame, so I just grabbed some pliers and bent the stock metal grabbers outwards. $3.25 or so after tax.

Yea, I got my refill wiper blades from Sewell for $6 each and they work great. Can't see how any other wiper could be better than what the factory refill's are doing. They remove the water like they are suppose to. I imagine if you live in the north with more intense weather, you may need a beefier blade. We pretty much just deal with rain here.
