Default Handfree and Windshield

Hi all, Got questions related to 2 problems I have with the ES350.

1) Recently I have the homelink module replaced (memory cleared itself 3 times for the past 4 months with no reason). After the module was replaced, handfree doesn't seem to work right. It registered the phone successfully, able to dial out and can hear the other party. The problem is the other party can't hear a word I say. Can replacing the homelink module screwed up handfree? Any recommendations as to what to check?

2) Windshield cracked and needs to be replaced so the questions are:
do they make non-OEM windshield for ES350?

what would you get, non-OEM or OEM, pros vs. cons?

Thanks,
Larry

Recently replaced my windshield -- only OEM was available. Total cost was $1482.

$1482! Why so expensive? Is it because of the rain sensing feature? Knowing the cost makes me nervous - if my windshield cracks I will just SHlT.

I got a quote form a glass shop that does Lexus. OEM glass for $1384 if molding can be saved. $1413 if new OEM molding is needed. Lucky full glass coverage with $0 deductible takes care of the bill.
