Default Changing Region on NAV

Recently bought an ES 350. Have not yet used the NAV to enter addresses.

I've tried, but can't seem to get started. I do own two other cars with NAV, therefore am a little experienced.

Problem is, I can't change the REGION. I select Change, press on 2 (for CA) and press on OK. The next screen shows that I am NOT in CA.

What am I doing wrong ?? Or, is the NAV defective ??

For tweaks like this, I have made the Lexus service writer do this for me. Just drive up and ask them to do it.

Or even your salesperson should have set this up for you.

I would have given you the exact buttons to push but I am not a very fast typist so instead see page 20 in the "NAV System Owners Manual.

Gar.....

I did just that..... This is how it went.....

Told Service Writer that I could not change the Region to 02. Told him that I have two other Lexus's with NAVs and have a little experience.

He too, could not make the system accept Region 02. So he started changing to other Regions. He did them all with success. Then he said, the system accepts all the other Regions except # 02. At that point he entered # 02 to see it the system would accept the change. IT DID !!!

Is that weird or what ??

You are the man! There are two ways to change the region. 1. click on Canada then click back on USA. 2. Click on each region until you get to the region you are in.
