I am a big fan of the ES350 design. I thought the ES330 was more luxurious with better fit and finish but the 350 is hands down a better looking car.
I have been anxiously awaiting people to slap some nice wheels on the car. Yesterday I saw a black one with 20's. I thought they were a little big but not overpowering. I was so disappointed when the car stopped moving to see they were a "ghetto" style design. Rolling, the car looked pretty good.
C'mon ES350 owners, let's get some wheels on those cars!

Ok your on, I’ve got a thread going too but here is just as good. Well been doing some tire checking and have found the one’s for me 225/40ZR19Michelin Pilot Sport – not the PS2. Tire rack put the Pilot at a rating number 8 not bad - $329 each. Thinking about going with 19” according to tire rack the 18” or 19” work with the ES. So I’ve got the size and tire brand nailed down and found the Rims I like. Next step can I afford it?

I've seen one so far in the Orlando area. It was a white ES w/ chrome dubs (no spinners thank God).

Oh, and welcome to CL!!!Driver School Candidate
Although I'm in the process of a buyback for the transmission flare, I think that the ES350 would be rollin' def wif dem 20's!
Given the issues I've had, although I love the car besides the transmission, I'll likely be going for an IS350 or a new G35 Infinity.

Great picture, of course we need to see it in daylight!!! BTW, the car will highly benefit if you will put Tanabe NF210 springs to drop it 1". The gap above the wheels looks big now with these big wheels and low profile tires. Dropping it with tanabes (will cost you around $400 parts+labor) will balance out a look and will make it sportier. Plus, you will get a better cornering and a feel of the road.Originally Posted by GaGirl0327
Oh and thanks for the welcome twister!

Those look sweet! What size tires are you running on those dubs (and yes, I know they're 20" but that's not what I'm asking for, in case someone decides to give me a smart-aleck response... Originally Posted by GaGirl0327

Actually, unless she's running a tire size somewhat smaller in overall circumference than 225-35-20--which is what I suspect she's running on those wheels--that gap isn't that much more bigger than it was w/ the stockers; based solely on numbers alone, that gap w/ 20's is roughly 0.05" wider than it would be w/ 17" (overall diameter of 26.2" for 20" tire vs. 26.3" for 17" OEM tire).Originally Posted by twister

Yes I know that not all tires are created equal, even among those with the same specified tire size...but unless she's running a size much smaller in circumference than that of the OEM tire--that the gap appears to be much larger when running larger wheels has to do somewhat w/ the fact that the tire profile (i.e., aspect ratio) when going the "plus" upgrade route is significantly smaller than the relatively-larger AR of the OEM tire. IOW--it seems to be somewhat of an optical illusion that larger wheels/tires seem to make the gap larger than before.
In any case, I do agree w/ you that a drop will eliminate much of that gap...in which case, such a low-profile tire/lowered-springs combo will pretty much make the ES 350 ride like an IS 350...maybe even worse, if the ES struts/shocks are not up to the task.
