Tranny Fluid Change - First Time
I have a 2007 es350 with 245k and have never changed tranny fluid, so should I bother at this point?

Uhhh, hard decision.
I would do drain-refill using Toyota WS.

Definitely replace the ATF filter, but you may have to lift the engine about two inches to reach one of the pan screws. Although some have been able to reach it with the right tools. I’ve done it three times and I can’t reach it. It is not too bad, just unscrew the motor mount nuts from the bottom. Once you clean out the pan, you can make a more informed decision to flush or just complete a drain/refill.

If it was my car, I would do nothing.

How does the tranny shift and operate? How long do you plan to keep the vehicle? It may be best to leave it alone at this point if it operates acceptably.

The car is 17 yr old, how long do you realistically plan to keep it? If its another 2-3 years, why bother

I would like to get at least another 20 or 30k miles before I replace it.

How long have you owned the car?

I have 220k on my 2007 es350 and recently did a tranny flush. I think they used BG products. No issues

Bought it in May 2013 with 36k miles on it. Has been a very reliable car, now about 247k on it.
