Hi, Sorry if this is a repeat, from my quick searches, I haven't found the info/thread that addresses my question. If it's been addressed please direct me to the proper thread.
I just bought a used '05 ES330. It seems mechanically sound, but needs lots of work for minor stuff. For example, the rear left window motor appears to be shot.
The "Lexus" window motors for '02-'06 ES cost about $200 everywhere I've seen, but an '02-'06 Camry window motor would be much cheaper. Since they're the same platform and the parts appear identical, would the Camry window motor be a drop-in replacement? Or would they be incompatible with my ES?
Here you can find all the Part Numbers for your vehicle. Unfortunately, it seems like they are not compatible, the arm length is different. The way to tell for sure is to take your regulator off and compare it to the one you can find at the junkyard, any 4th-gen Camry or 2nd-gen RX300 would work. Also, I found a drawing with all the dimensions for the regulator off of Camry, in case if that would help.
