Couldnt justify spending over 35 bucks on bumperplugs prepainted ones so I got these for about 3 bucks from Autozone. Scuffed up them up with 220, primed, used touch up stick, then shot with clear coat i had laying around. This will hold me over until I wrap that area in vinyl. Easy and cheap project for those with the unsightly holes in their front bumper.
Ugly holes left from license plate mount, we dont use front plates here in Michigan. Stuck them in some cardboard to hold them steady for paint. Go heavy with the touch up stick and it comes out smooth when dry Much better for under 5 dollars! These were the smallest plugs I could find locally
I was bored, was sick of seeing the holes in my bumper. These are just temp to hold me over until I wrap my bumper. These will of course come out when I get around to doing the vinyl which wont be arriving until next week.
Also, if I end up not liking the middle bar wrapped, I can remove the vinyl and put the painted plugs back in!
Living in NJ, I need a front plate. And man do I stare at it daily and wish I could just pry it off. Some luxury cars in my area get by without a front plate but due to my tints and black wheels I feel that I dont need any other excuse for an officer of the law to pull me over. Really like your DIY for this though. Good work.
I feel your pain, Im from Nj and used to drive mostly Bmws, cops literally used to follow me for miles to pull me over for no front plate. I just put it in my front windshield on the dash lol. Cars look like crap with front plates imo
