Finally got rid of the lame license plate frame. A few things to note:

- holes had to be drilled bigger so the plugs with fit
- paint on the plugs does not match perfectly with oem paint, darker shade
- wish the entire plug was painted instead of just the front
- used a razor blade to trim off the nipple, but the plugs still didn't sit flush because the bumper has a curvature, it's flush on the bottom but u can see a small gap on the top
- you can see the plugs from far away

Overall: looks a lot better than the license plate frame, but it's not a permanent fix, when the time comes (in a couple years once the rock chips add up), I will have the holes filled and entire bumper repainted

looks much better! i ordered plugs from them too and i had a problem after a year with one peeling.

Edit...they dont have Mercury Metallic (1F2) as an option. Only Millennium Silver. WTF!!!

 

Obviously that depends on where the car is registered. It certainly is not legal here.

 

probably could get the touch up paint and put a couple of coats on and get a good match?
