Most of my peeves are fiddly little complaints. Stuff that wouldn't stop me from buying another one, but that I think Lexus should do better with.
I would like more direct control over certain functions. Don't make me go deep into menus to turn the AC on and off, or to turn the heated wipers on. In fact, since it's a GUI instead of physical buttons, just give me the heated wiper option as a button when it's less than 35 degrees out. You can bury it in menus during the summertime. And don't hide certain quality-of-life settings behind a dealer setup tool. That's just stupid.
Auto-set the clock using the GPS time signal. Acura's been doing that for over a decade. Surely Lexus can catch up at some point. And slave the analog clock to the digital clock. My elementary school had auto-set analog clocks that referenced a master clock back in the early 1980's. It can be done, I promise! It used to be very disappointing when they'd run fast and then a couple seconds before you thought it was about to be recess time, they'd reset themselves to 5 minutes ago.
Why does my sunroof not one-touch-close? The non glass-roof sunroofs do. Why did they downgrade the button for the package upgrade? And if I do have to hold the button the whole time, don't stop the sunroof halfway through closing. If I want to stop it halfway through closing, I'll just stop holding the button. On that note, the panel for the rear skylight should be powered, because if a backseat passenger opens it and you want it closed after they leave, it's hard to reach from the driver's seat.
Put a trim piece over the black styrofoam in the front bumper that you can see through the grille spindles. And put some carpet over the multicolored carpet padding under the dash that you can see if you bend down too far. And put a trim cap over the screws in the steering column that you see when the wheel is turned 90 degrees. And stop making random pieces of interior trim out of weird plant leather or whatever that knee-knocker trim is on the passenger side. I should not be able to scuff my interior by barely touching it with a microfiber cloth.
Just a guess, but I suspect this was a decision made by the corporate lawyers. People can get locked in trunks so if the trunk lid can be closed by the key, it could potentially be closed on a child rummaging around in the trunk. I know new cars are required to have an emergency release in the trunk, but children and likely many adults don't know that. I also realize SUVs close by key, but due to their design, people can't get locked into the storage area. I agree it is frustrating, but I can also understand why they make design decisions like this.
That one annoys me as well. Especially since I'm pretty sure the SUVs will auto-close their hatches, at least from the interior button, so we know it can be done. We definitely know it can be done because Acura does it.

The scuffing of the dash is an oft mentioned complaint according to the SM at my dealer. I complained about it over a year ago and he stated that there was nothing that could be done to eliminate it. The surface can be scuffed simply by running a cloth against it and the scuffs don't come out.
Yep. Mine was scuffed when I bought it. The detail guy at the dealership did some sort of magic that made the scuffs very hard to see, but that probably won't last. At some point I figure I'll take it to an upholsterer and have them replace whatever that junk is with real leather.
The remote start I don’t care about as I have a garage. I’m very surprised that there’s not a push button-close for the trunk on even the Luxury trim level! That amazes me.
Every new 2019 car come with a REMOTE START...you just press a bottom and react quick....I dunno why Lexus wants us to pay 8$ and press and hold the KEY for LONG Seconds... ALSO
WHY THE TRUNK CANNOT CLOSE BY KEY??? Got to Press the Bottom...Make NO Sense to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And YES, even my 2017 Prius can set up a door auto lock.

And 2017 Prius have it covered under Dash too...Lexus Looks so cheap under Dash..I thought they forgot a panel on my car lol
Wonder if someone's Wet foot will kick those wire and steering wheel stick down there lol and cause malfunction...
And YES the Heated Wiper!!! The Wiper already Automatically wipe when Rain...why can't make it auto heat when snow-_-
I Thought Sunroof it's one bottom hold touch close? I'll check tomorrow.
I like the clock too, Simple and luxurious to me. I pick ES mainly because of Flaxen interior and Wood Trim....otherwise I might go GS for all Wheel drive.

Oh, and you reminded me of my other pet peeve - the rain sensing wipers. Things are terrible. They're fine most of the time in the rain, but they get utterly confused by snow. They either don't cycle enough, or they cycle far too often. I really wish there were an easy way to revert them to a normal delay switch in the winter that didn't involve potentially voiding the warranty.
The remote start is disgustingly unreliable and not worth the extra money on a monthly subscription. Read all the threads about it. No apple carplay, no android auto. If you are in doubt using the OEM NAV, always whip out the Waze or Google maps on your phone. Be careful of parking lot bumps or steep angled driveways as the bumper height is pretty low.
