My 2016 I took in last month on my car it was not called a recal and that confused the dealership service department people because they kept saying it was not part of the service recall or anything like that
i finally spoke with Lexus Customer care and they explained that i needed to tell the dealership to look up Customer Service Suppor campaign not recall
they found it had it for a day i think it took like 4 hours make sure you set up a loaner vehicle unless you want to be sitting there most the day.
also don't panic if when you get it back and press the sos button if they cant see your location right away it took actually 4 days for my vehicle to update in the satellite system and for them to actually see the location of it again
Yea I just dropped it off, they knew about it and said about 4 hours as well. I am enjoying the 2018 RX 350L loaner very much. This thing is beautiful inside
??
What was being recalled?
=================================
My karma just ran over your dogma
Current Hers: '13 Lexus ES350
Current Mine: '15 Jaguar XF (its aubergine)
Something about the gps in the SOS system. I mean I got my letter a few months ago but I didnt want to take it in till I was due for my oil change anyway
My es350 2016 recall says incorrect programming with the Data Communication Module (DCM). Don’t know what this is about?
if you ever need to use the SOS or you have destination assit as option or they ever need to locate your car they wont be able to see the location unless this gets reprogrammed thats what this is about
If you don’t subscribe to sos does the recall matter? Or is a subscription required?
its not required if you dont have a subcrisption but its a free service you will get i mean the fix for the issues is free why woulnd't you get it
its not free forever i think its only good for a few years to have it done
if you ever choose to subcribe it wont work for you if you don't get it done
It is called a limited service campaign for the safety connect system. I had my 2015 ES done. 4 Hours, had loaner RX350 did some chores and went back to get it. The dealer said the reason for the 4 hours is that it is a programing of the GPS and the software update/upload to the car is a slow process. My 2013 will be next when I have the time. You may not get a letter if you so not currently subscribe to the service.

Hello,
After the update, did you notice any performance issues with the nav system? After I had my 2013 ES 350 done, I immediately noticed problems with my nav system, mainly a slow down in it's response, but various other issues as well.
Harold
Hmmm... I never received any letter... Does that mean my model is not included?
My guess is that the only people to get a notification are the people who currently have an active paid Enform subscription for Enform Remote, SOS, etc.
