Hey guys,
So when i bought my es300 at the begining of the year, i didn't notice the bent front bumper till i got home. It hasn't really bothered me, but it's something i'd like to fix. Any ideas, or do i need to replace the whole front? What would that cost.
Thanks alot,
Sam
That warping of the lower front air dam seems to be a common problem on a lot of the 92-96 models, and particularly the 92-94s. Luckily mine is holding up fine on my 96 (knock on wood), but it almost looks like the bottom of the bumper is detaching from the black lower grille that holds the fog lamps. I'm not sure if the lower grille and bumper are connected with bolts, rivets, and/or adhesive, if it were daylight out I'd investigate. Perhaps another 92-96 owner on here has had the same problem and has a remedy.
I believe it is due to the low noise bottoming out in parking lots and high speed bumps and such. My moms 92 and my 92 never had that issue, however I have seen several years with it, some with major warping and some very minor.
My 95 is bent downward and the fog lights are pushed back or is it the bumper and grill pushed outward? I don't know. It looks terrible. It was like that when I bought it. How is it bent downward? That's not possible from a speed bump right? What's the repair cost like?
BTW, mine is also a gold color ES.

You guy's may want to try fixing the weak point here and eliminating this problem correctly. Since the Airdam is weak and can warp the proper fix would be some metal back support or fiberglass reinforcement. Use a heat gun and a long piece of small tubular bar across the inside to warp it back strait then mount the bar or use fiberglass support to make it stronger.
