I have a 2009 ES350. For a couple of weeks now, when I move the gear shift to reverse:

1. The transmission DOES shift into reverse gear. The transmission shifts to all gears as expected.
2. In the "PRNDS" transmission indication in the driver's cluster, the "R" does NOT illuminate.
   1. All other transmission positions indicate as expected when selected. "P" illuminates in park, "D" illuminates in drive, etc.
3. ​​​​​​​The LCD display on the dash does NOT switch to the rear view camera.
4. The rear view side mirrors do NOT tilt down.
   1. ​​​​​​​I've verified the mirror selector switch position has no effect on this.
5. ​​​​​​​The white back up lights do NOT come on.
   1. ​​​​​​​Turn signals and brake lights all DO come on.

I can't identify a fuse that would affect all of these things. Is there a relay that controls all of them? Any other ideas?

 

all the prob seem to relate to the rear power circuits, i would check the backup light fuse or the park/neutral position switch, cause if that does not work typically the back up camera, and tilt mirrors need that signal to trigger.

This function tilts the mirror surface downward to improve the visibility when driving in reverse, provided that all the
conditions given below have been met.
