Just bought 2016 Es350 and was wondering if someone can suggest good tires. I usually drive 100miles a day in IL.

What brand / size are on your car now? My lexus came with bridgestone Turanza's and I hated them.. In November of 2016 I changed them out for a new set of Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus
Size: 225/45R/18 (XL) They've been on there a little over 2 years and about 17K miles on them. Nice ride and quiet too. If I hadn't gone with the Pirelli's, I probably would have gone with a set of Michelins

Right now I think its original tires what car came with --- BRIDGESTONE Turanza 215/55R17.0.

what do you guys think about Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring 215/55R17 ?

 

I had those on an Accord I had and found them very quiet and soft riding but I wasn't impressed with wet handling.

 

I recommend the tire that I believe replaced the P7.

Albeit on a Camry V6, after a miserable experience with Michelin Premiers, this is what I got !!!!!!

 

I had a set of the Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring tires on a Generation 4 ES. I thought that the ride quality and noise levels from the tires were very similar to what I had experienced with the Michelin MMX4 tires that they replaced. A nice advantage of the Goodyear's was that I got about 70,000 miles out of them and still had about 5000 miles worth of tread left when I traded the car in. I never came close to that kind of tread life with Michelins. That is likely because the Goodyear tires start with 12/32" of tread, and the Michelin tires only have 9/32". And another nice bonus was that a set of the Goodyears was a couple of hundred dollars less expensive than a set of the Michelins.



My experience with the Comfortred Touring tires was quite different. I used them through several harsh upper Midwest winters, and I thought that they were consistently sure-footed on slick/wet pavement.

Goodyear tires don't get much mention or love on the CL ES boards, but I would definitely consider the Comfortred Touring tires as a replacement for the Michelin tires that came on my ES.

I would second at least a look or pricing of the Goodyear Comforttreads. I don't have them on my Lexus (17 model with no need) but do on our Odyssey minivan and am quite impressed with their wear and ride. I will consider them if and when the Lexus needs new tires as well.

 

I have really wanted to get a pair of pirelli cinturato p7 + since everyone recommends them. But my local Mavis tire only has the run flats (no problem I can always order them online I guess) but they do have the continental DWS 06 which I know people on here love too, but another almost exactly priced option is the Toyo Proxes 4+. I know these tires to be good as well. Anyone ever use them on a car like the ES?

 

I had Toyo's on my Avalon several years back.. From what I can remember they were good tires.. .. If you want the Pirelli's, just go ahead and find a vendor on line and order them. Places like tire rack have shops that will install them on your car for you for a fee.. I got my Pirelli's thru tire rack.. easy peasy.

 

Ok so all the Rating from people say the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All-Seasons, handle like they are on Ice in the rain. And they say they slide like crazy when its Wet. Any experience this?
