The RES system was only available for the 2013 model ES, and it was replaced by the RES+ system for the 2014 model year.

In previous threads here, people were told by Lexus that the RES system was not compatible with the 2014 ES and that the RES+ system was not compatible with the 2013 ES, but the suspicion among those who posted here was that that was not really the case. So, I'm not sure whether there are compatibility issues with the 2103 ES and RES+ or the 2014 ES and RES.

Also, for the RES+ system, the $80/year subscription is required only if you want to use the smart phone app. Without a subscription, remote starting will still work with the key fob. That is different from the way the Enform Remote Start system that has been used in the last few years works. With the Enform Remote Start, without a subscription, neither smart phone or key fob remote starting is available.

The site shows it's compatible with the 2014, which I'm sure it is. He could always go for an aftermarket RS, like bc did. At the end of the day, it's just starting the car.

Can you give more details on how this is installed?
I've got a 2014 300h US Model and $60 for remote start sounds perfect.

The instructions were included with my purchase. To install the remote start module, you need to remove the passenger side knee airbag and and some trim around that area. Everything is plug and play so it is very easy. You will need techstream and mini vci cable(google is your friend) to program the module. Some people install the module and leave the programming wires hanging and take it to the dealer to program but then it would be more expensive and not worth the labor cost IMO. Its very straightforward and you can find a lot info on toyota forums for programming.

Not much difference between the 2 years. Here's another link showing it's compatible: https://parts.lexusofwestkendall.com...key-pt39833131

Hello,
The good new is I bought this remote start kit from this dealer, and today I got it.
The bad new is they didn’t include any instruction to install it.

I viewed the video clips talking about the guy installed the remote start to 2014 es300h. But the Remote start kit looks different compared to the one I received.
Do you still have instruction, can you take a pic to show that instruction pls? Or do you have any suggestion?

Thank you.

Where did you buy it from? You should contact them for a copy of the instructions. I will look and see if i have the paper copy available and will upload it. I would wait till you have the full instructions because they have a lot of detail. In short you need to remove the passenger side airbag then program with techstream.

I bought this from Lexu dealer in Florida, as the following link https://parts.lexusofwestkendall.com...key-pt39833131.
They didn’t attach the instruction. Just the remote start kit only as the picture.

Call them they should give you the instructions. Worse comes to worse call your local dealer and see if they can print you off the instructions. Also do you have techstream?
