Default MXV4 pressure?

Just got a used '14 ES. The tires had 35-36lbs but the door sticker says 33. They are the original Michelin Primacy MXV4s. Can they be run a little higher without degrading tread life or should I do 33?? Thanks!

I would run 33 max, cold. Anything higher may impede ride comfort.

I agree with Mike - dealers and tire shops frequently inflate them higher but it does degrade the ride to be over 33 psi. Overinflating may marginally increase your gas mileage but at the expense of ride quality.

Enjoy your new car.
