Rough Ride and Tires
2006 LX with 70K miles. Earlier I got rid of the OEM 60 series Dunlops and switched to Michelin LTX Pilot tires. 275/65x18 Now the ride has deteriorated into "rough" mode and I need new tires again. the new Michelin LTX M/S2 tire was recommended as a softer ride, so wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this. ...Or did my switching to the 65 series tire somehow cause this problem? (Can't see how, but who knows?)

You will notice a "softer" ride more from air pressure than anything else. Commonly, un-informed techs will air the tire to whatever they think to be correct, or even worse- the max pressure on the sidewall of the tire.
The correct inflation pressure may be found inside your owners manual or on the door placard (inside the door jamb).
As for 65 profile tires, they should give a slightly softer or more compliant ride than 60's due to a slightly taller (5% of the 275mm cross section= total of 27mm of diameter) height..... my tush would not likely tell the difference
Air pressure will make a MUCH greater difference!
G'luck!
