Default battery / headlights problem ?

Hey guys,

over the past few nights, I have noticed something quite disturbing.

That is whenever I am adjusting my electric seats (both driver and passenger side) at night and the headlights are on, I can see them flicker, as if the electric seats are eating way too much power.

I just changed my battery a few months ago too at the lexus dealer. Got myself a brand new standard OEM battery. I got thie battery changed because just two weeks after I bought the car in January, the car would not start up and they determined that the battery was faulty.

Is this lights flickering thing normal?
Because I am considering to install HID headlights and also a sound system setup consisting of just a mono amplifier (250 watts) and a subwoofer from JL Audio.

So, Im just wondering whether this will effect the installation of the products.

Thanks

Tim

Sounds like my 2000 ES300. The battery had to be replaced the 2nd winter when the car failed to start. It tested fine, then again it didn't start the next cold spell. Were are they getting these batteries from??

I wouldn't get too worried about the flickering. Those motors and the headlights both suck up a lot of current. The motor will jump about 5x to 10x on the current as it stalls at the end of the run up/down.

Tom is right. It's a Camry chassis problem for all related vehicles. Don't be alarmed to see your dash dim when you pull up your power windows to a close.
