Lexus Emblems
I would use dental floss (not the piano wire, or any wire for that matter). Any residual adhesive on the paint I've been able to "roll it off" with my finger. Be very careful using any solvent, but I've used a wrag that is "barely damp" with laquer thinner to finish it off (paint thinner/varsol didn't seem to work but you could try that first). Do not dwell or rub vigorously. NO acetone. Be aware that there may be a faint "shadow" that you may not be able to get rid off.
i think most of those raised chrome decals/ badges are stuck on with foam double stick 3m type tape. (car logos and dealer badges, etc.) I,ve used wd40 to soften the adhesive after the chrome plastic has been removed, then use a soft cotton baby diaper for a rag and worked the adhesive off. Use it sparingly, put on rag then work on adhesive, dont just spray the trunk or youll have a mess. Those new microfiber rags might work also. if it leaves a 'shadow' one could get some polishing compound from an auto parts store and rub out the clear coat to remove. I've done this with other vehicles and to get those ugly dealer badges off and can never tell they were there.
