Thats all great work and everything but I'm surprised that noone has yet replaced the bulbs for those 6 reading lights to make them useful.

From what I can see, the 6 reading LEDs are not bulbs, but actually SMD leds soldered directly to the PC board within the light modules. It would be difficult to replace the SMDs, although not impossible (a few members have swapped out SMDs to different colours, for example). It's just that if you want to solder in hi- power SMD LEDs, you will likely also need to change the associated resistors on the board.and add heat sinks.

A better method if you really need more reading illumination (I'm Ok with the current 6 LEDs) is to swap in a console from 2010. Search the posts as someone tried that, but he ran into some wiring harness incompatibilities. But I'll bet that it wouldn't be that difficult to re-jig the harness especially since we have access to the wiring diagrams.

Swap info; however it's incomplete as even though the harness is identical, the wiring (or microchip in the overhead) is different.
