documentation that comes with the car and the OBC state oil changes every 5k miles. i just went to schedule the 5k service and noticed the official lexus factory recommendations have changed... oil changes now every 10k miles.

will they update my literature and OBC software?

 

The interim 5 k service is just top-offs and checks, the oil change has been 10k for '13+. The maintenance minder is not specific to type of maintenance as I recall, it just comes on every 5.

 

ok, thanks. i could swear the maintenance schedule in the glove box had oil changes going every 5k miles but i guess i didn't read that correctly.

we need a tire rotation regardless, and i'm glad the first 2 service visits are on the house.

While oil change is only 10K, they do recommend tire rotation every 5K.
