just follow the first few steps, improvise a little bit to remove cigarette lighter assembly and you should be good.

why did you have to remove the cig lighter, anyway?

i have to replace the cigarette lighter because it just stop working. My dad plug in an invertor and this huming sound started from the invertor. After i unplug the invertor the cigarette lighter hasnt work ever since. I check one fuse and it still look good, so im pretty sure it the cigarette lighter itself.

read the comments on that fitst post sent you bro come on.

on the second page, it says "Sure. You need to take a flathead [screwdriver] and pop the woodgrain out. The best place would be in the dip underneath the end of the emergency brake. Just stick in the flathead and lift directly up."

I just did it. You remove the shift plate surround.
Remove the black housing around the lighter (there are two clips holding it under the plug)
If you look inside the lighter, there are two green tabs. You need to get a small screwdriver in between the metal surround and the green tabs. This will release the metal lining. You need to do this from the wiring side of the lighter.
Push the metal lining of the lighter through to release
