Sewell Lexus can cut the key for you and then you can program it yourself. Also, if you have a legit Lexus key and not a knock off, you can send it to Toy-Lex for them to cut, but they never picked up their phone. GL
see this is y i went to sewell to get the spares done! i looked on ebay and then called local places...........said they coudlnt cut it as it HAD 2 be cut to my vin and it was a dealer only cut! i heard this from like 6 different locksmiths etc before i started talking to sewell they have the cheapest prices i found on keys!
I ordered mine through sewell.
119 shipped.
On ebay it was 50 for the key, then 30 to cut here locally, then I have to program. Screw it. For an extra 30 bucks I paid sewell to do it for me.
cpone, I thought you needed to program the key to your car still.
Does ace hardware really cut lexus keys? I wonder how much they charge.
They charge 30 bucks.
Sure but ebay is saying you need to program the transponder in your car or something. It'll cost me gas alone, to go all the way to the nearest Lexus dealer.
...but most of them'll cut and program for 150 bucks!
I actually got one to cut for 65 bucks but the problem right is how to program it. I was sent a one-page manual of how to program it but I'm still having problems programming it.
actually just had a friend get two keys cut at henessy lexus of gwinnett here in ga. both keys cut and programmed for $90 total, or $45 per key. For an additional $20 per key they can get you the shell with the L emblem. the service advisor told us that the case without the L emblem is actually stronger and more durable as well as cheaper so that is the route we went with. all they needed was the master key, and a proof of ownership, preferably title, registration paper, etc...
