I have a 2013 ES350. I am traveling in North Carolina specific on the outer banks. My navigation got me to just before the outer banks and said I had arrived at my destination. I was 35 miles from where I was supposed to be. I checked the address re-inputed the destination same result it kept sending me back to the same place which was not right, Once I got to my location I still found that the navigation showed the correct mileage but was totally confused. It kept showing calculating on screen. I know I have the most recent nav sofware disk. I am assuming that this is a mapping problem relevant to a anomaly or a bug in the system. Has anyone else found other issues in there es350 . I have a garmin zumo 550 and that found the correct address and its mapping software is 5 years old. The outer Banks mapping has not changed in many years.
Automotive Nav maps are notorious for not being up to date.
You're not alone. You just have to wait until there is an update and then
get out your wallet.

Hi John
There should be no update for the area of the outer banks. There is only one road to get to Corrola and Duck . The only thing that would change would be POI. etc Mapping software on a road that is the only one in or out .Just does not make sense. The navigation shows me on the correct road but keeps flashing calculating and telling me to turn when I know I have to go 20 miles on the same road. It shows the 20 miles but keeps flashing calculating I have changed my preferences to avoid expressways and same results
I had the same problem driving back from Virginia with my dads car we were on the highway in CT and the navigation just lost it. It kept telling me to turn left and right on a straight highway, something needs to be reset or updated more firmware that the nav update.

I used to have a cottage there, and if you were headed up to the north end, north of Kitty Hawk, my IS350 with NAV had to dead-reckon, and really was of little use as we got near our cottage. It was OK at locating where we were, but not at finding locations.
I was going to post this exact same issue here as well.
I think I will talk with Lexus Corporate and see if I can get a "deal" on the map updates when they are released.
The interesting part is that my 07 ES does not have this issue.
I believe the problem is in mapping software. It may be that all of there sysytems mapping soft ware
has this bug for the outter banks. I dont believe there is a problem with the navigation hardware at all
