Have a 2013 ES350 I can not get the Apps to pay sound with Iphone plugged into the USB port. Will work when not plugged in. Problem is kills the battery on the phone. Anyone know why I can not use the USB to play music thru Apps. Thought purpose was to plug into USB to charge phone and use Apps.

 

I think when you're plugged into the USB port your device is acting as a recognized drive.

The apps are played via Bluetooth.

Get your power from a regular 12v source and it should work fine.

Your device will play locally stored music files using the USB tab when connected this way. If you want to play Pandora, you'll need to hook it up like John said, above.
