Default Door Lock Problem. 2007 ES350

Both front doors continuous clicking and attempting to lock (even though they are already locked) every few seconds while driving. All switches appear to be working normally. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting battery, no help. Out of warranty.
Anyone heard of this? I suspect the door lock ecu but can't find it's location.
My next resort is to pull the door lock fuse so that I don' t damage the actuators.
Would appreciate any suggestions.

Not sure but maybe this will help.......http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S350-2007.html. It looks like the "brain" (item 1) is located in the glovebox/center console area.

Thanks for the good lead! I will follow up. I have bought parts from Sewell before and they are much more reasonable than the dealer.

If it isn't the lock brain, it's either the oscillators or the lock assemblies themselves. Common lexus failure.

These are the part numbers;

69030A 6903042230
LOCK ASSEMBLY, FRONT DOOR W/MOTOR, (RH - RIGHT / PASSENGER S $300.25

69040A 690400C050
LOCK ASSEMBLY, FRONT DOOR W/MOTOR, (LH - LEFT / DRIVER SIDE) $320.68

Those are the entire lock assembly, as I don't see the actuators being separate parts. What likely is occurring is the 6 year old parts are worn out and need replacement.

Thanks , are the oscillators part of the actuators?

the oscillators are a separate part. The actuator, I believe, is part of the entire lock assembly I listed above, based upon where it sits in the door. I think the oscillator actually pulls and releases the cable, as the actuators used to do.

It seems they re-engineered the systems and renamed all the parts. If you look at the diagram you'll see what I mean.

[Mystery finally solved. Faulty repair of wire loom at antilock brake unit connector. The loom was damaged due to a collision (side impact) with a semi truck that pushed the right front fender into, and smashed, the antilock controller. Proper repair of wiring solved the problem.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was wiring related - especially if it wasn't doing it sitting still and the stock functionality was still retained (locks still work at rest.) Good to know you found it! Typically if the lock actuators/oscillators fail, it'll be in the "I'm not locking for you" direction rather than spazzing out repeatedly. I've had to replace my share of actuators on domestic cars, those things are worthless.

My "07 es350 is doing the same thing. Continuous lock clicking while driving. Did you find another solution beyond a pinched wire?

I eventually ended up at the dealer. They found a bad connection in the driver door at the lock switch. .
