This is the intake I have on mine, and I'm really happy with it. From what I hear it's one of the best you can get.

But don't pay $219 for it. You can get it for much less on other sites. I paid $150 for it on eBay.

that specific model won't work on ur car.
if ur car has dual throttle body, it won't be easy. if it's a single TB, then go with the model he specified, but it's not a cold air intake by any means.

Its easy to do. the only thing thats a PITA is the Evap solenoid is a bit difficult to get out of the box. everything else is straight off and on. should look similar to this when done:

If you know any metal fabricators have them finish the rest of the intake up and make the install look cleaner.

I'm pretty sure there is a law against just about anything in California

Honestly, considering how strict they are on emmisions, I would guess that ANY modification to intake, exhaust, or pretty much anything that changes how the engine burns air/fuel (even if it's better) is going to be against some law there.

Well to be honest, you're not missing much. Cold air intakes are more for noise than anything else.

Speaking of intakes, what is the diameter of the intake on a 1MZ engine? 3.0 inches? I'm too lazy to measure it myself.
