Default side mirrors angle when in reverse.

Is there any way to set how far down they go when I put the vehicle in reverse? My left mirror angles down too far and I can't use it to back my car up. When I got my car serviced at Lexus of austin I asked my advisor he said it wasn't possible. i thought i saw a thread a while back about how to do this but I couldn't find it. I drive an 07

Good question. I have a similar problem, that the right mirror goes further than the left one. I need the left mirror to match the right mirror.

I think the way to stop it is outlined in the owners manual. I stopped mine from doing it when I bought the 2011.

I stopped mine from moving down too.
Just leave the switch in the middle and not on left or right. If I want to use the feature,I just move the switch on left or right.
I've read a plastic gear wears causing issues..

There isn't an adjustment for the angle of the tilt. Just the on or off.

I agree, they are not adjustable. I did have a problem where one of the mirrors stopped tilted down as far as they originally did. I had the mirror replaced under warranty.

That feature annoys me to no end. My wife, on the other hand, likes it.

I use it to see how close to the curb I am as for backing up I rely on the rear camera system.
