CD / Cassette Player Problem

I recently bought a 95 es300 an i cant seem to get the CD player to work. Everytime it tries to load up, it just says "Err"? Do you think the CD changer maybe be broke? I just put another factory radio in the other day! (replaced the original factory radio which wouldnt power on) ... Also does anyone know what kind of cassette to mp3 player adapter will work with this car? the RCA one i have wont work.(the Cassette wont lock in when i push it in)

Make sure that you are not putting in the CD's Upside down, and that you are not trying to play MP3 CDs.

Are you using a copied c.d.? I found using a good brand name c.d. works better than cheap ones. I had some cheap copied ones get stuck in my 04 es.

the CDs are real CD's, im looking into replacing the changer. cant seem to fix the cassette player, so im looking into a goo FM transmitter
