yay! i finally got on here. have been coming here for months getting helpful information, and now have a ? of my own.
my speedometer stopped working sat. finally got cold here, and thought that cudda accelerated whatever is wrong, but i dunno.
anyhow, i've deduced that maybe it's the vehicle speed sensor, so now i'm trying to locate it. i pulled the battery and air cleaner to get to the area where i thought it was, but the piece that i think is the sensor does not resemble the ones i've seen advertised on advanced auto site. does it have a little gear on it? or is it plastic with a little metal piece on the end? any help is much appreciated, especially if anyone thinks i'm off on my diagnosis. the car has about 150,000 on it, but runs well, tho the cel light has also been on for some time, and thinking i may need an o2 sensor.
