LoL are you sure it's off? Maybe it's just accurate and you're trying to fool yourself.

I'm sure it's off, I pass by those police things that tell you how fast you are going, and it's always different than what my speedometer says. Even if I am the only car on the road and I know it is me who is being radared.

What size are your tires? When I bought my ES, it had 205/60/15 tires on it, someone had gotten the wrong size along the way. I'm not sure how else the speedometer could be off by that much. I'd talk to a mechanic and have them recommend someone who could recalibrate it for you, definitely not something I would recommend doing yourself.

Take it to the dealer -- if you don't know what you're doing, you can cause a lot of damage messing with the calibration.

Speaking of speedometers, somebody had talked about putting blue celophane behind the gauges to make them look blue. Did anyone ever do it, and if it worked, how do you do it?

i swear, the ES forum goes in circles. everything will be repeated....will be repeated....will be, oh f*** it.
hey eric, those police radar thingies are calibrated to be off maybe 5 mph to give drivers the benefit of the doubt usually. i really think your speedo is fine.
