Default Third brake light bulb out

I have an '06 es 330 with the middle or third brake light bulb out. How does one get to it to replace it. Thanks.

Is it the same procedure for 04ES330? 3rd brake light went out today.
Thanks,

Default Center Brake Light Replacement

I see replacements for newer models but I have a 1996 ES 300. Does anyone know how to replace that model center brake light?

I believe it's the same way on the '96. Remove the assembly from inside.

I just noticed my license plate bulbs went out. Those don't look easy to change out. 1 on each side.

Default Inside job

I figured it out with the help of some of the other postings. From inside the car, lift up on the two corners toward the front of the car, one at a time. You have to lift hard, I used my hands but you may need to pry it up. Once you feel it snap on both sides, you pull the housing forward. To reinstall, push back and then down until it spans in.

Does anyone know if this works on an '09? It didn't lift up and I'm afraid to lift harder without knowing for sure this is the method that applies to my model.
