You would be better off putting it in where the OEM head unit is. They make custom fit installer kits for just $16. Look for metra 8150.
If that's not possible I'd say you'd be the first to replace the cupholder with XM. You'd probably regret that later...

They come with a cubbie so there aren't any gaping holes anywhere. That DVD LCD deck is only single DIN?

There are kits running around from $15-$40. You can find single din with a pocket or double din. I got a single din with a pocket from a company called sonix electroincs that I'm using with an alpine deck. Only issue I have found is over some bumps with mine the top willcome out about 1/2in or so.

Anything is possible with money, because with enough money you can buy more time, as is my understanding.

With a cigarette lighter socket power inverter, and a LCD deck with video inputs you could do it pretty cheap though. I think most of those decks have inputs so you should be set. I would go single DIN so you have a place for your mp3 player. Although double DIN decks I'm sure have loads more features.

PS2 slims only draw 45 watts too, so you could conceivably run the thing for hours until the battery died.

With time and money anything can be done. Here's something that one of the other members did to his car. Pretty sick and will give you some ideas.

Good luck!
