How did you push the antenna cable into the trunk. It keeps getting caught? What did you with the 3" wide rubber piece with double stick tape?

I'll answer my own question. I removed the housing from the antenna cable connector and was able to feed the wire.

Hello - I would like to order the tuner. Can someone provide the model number? This is the one I'm looking at: Lexus GS350 OEM XM SATELLITE RADIO TUNER 86120-AA150, for my 2009 ES350. Is this it? Thanks!

I recently added an XM radio to myt 09 ES350. I bought it on ebay from Park Place Lexus in Grapevine, TX for about $269 plus shipping. They were very good to work with via emails and prompt shipping. It took a little over an hour to install and you do NOT have to disconnect the battery. It is all plug and clip in addition to screwing your tuner into the trunk where there is a place for it on the passenger side. The model number they sent me was #86100-0W190. The radio came from the Lexus dealer but is a Toyota radio. I am sure it also fits the Camry's. Love it and I put the antenna inside the rear window next to the brake light. No regrets. Works fine. Good luck.

I just installed the factory XM kit in my ES. Everything went great except for one problem. Sometimes the system will sound as if it is loosing the signal and then the sound will completely dissappear. The radio indicator will still read all the pertinent information, ie: The artist, song title and station, but the sound will die out, and the only way to get it back is to turn the engine off and then turn the car back on.

Anyone else here with the same problem? Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

This has always been one of my big gripes about the ES350: this should have the satellite radio system integrated into the Lexus sound system, ready to use like the Big Three and not have the owners scrambling around to get it installed aftermarket and experiencing reception issues. Same with remote starting systems.

The only problem I have is that the signal is lost easily (minimal tree cover) but it comes right back.

Default Problem Solved

I believe the problem has been solved. I replaced the original tuner with a new one and, so far, I have not had the issue to reoccur. Apparently the original tuner was defective.

I totally agree. The car should have been XM ready from day one, with a better quality XM radio.

How easily do you lose your signal now?

I would say that my reception with the new tuner is about the same as the old one, which I would say is quite good. My antenna is mounted on the trunk. There are quite a few trees in my area, that at times, may interfere with the signal. However, with the new tuner, the XM sound does not cut out completely.
