Angry Engine almost dying out on long drives.....

Has anyone here had this problem before. I have a 92, ES and when I drive the car for long periods of time and or if its a hot day, the car seems like its about to stall, I can see the RPM kinda dip below 1000. There were a few times where it did die out on me. The only way I can try to stop this is putting it in Neutral and then let it sit for a bit if I am at a STOP sign or a RED light. Any suggestions??? Please help.

Is it worst on hot days? If so, sounds like a case of vapor lock in the fuel lines.

If not, put some fuel injector cleaner in the tank.

Default Engine dying out on long drives....

It seems like its doing that more on hot days, I did put in fuel injector cleaner, but it just seems to be a little better. Is it bad to always use fuel injector cleaner for every fillup? Does this mean it will clean it better? or does it harm my engine. If i use it like 5 times straight with every fillup will it make it cleaner where I can go back to using it for every 5000 miles? Thank you for any inputs.

When you say its the "case of vapor lock in the fuel lines" what does that mean, and how do i fix that problem. Sorry for bugging you. Thanks!

It might be a dirty fuel filter which would restrict the flow of gas at high speeds or long periods of driving.

Default same problem

my RPM's at times at stop lights, or in park will dip below 1000 and sometimes it shuts off as well, and all I can do is put it in neutral as well,

Have you tried getting a tune up? That is my next step. I'm going to make sure they do everything they can to tune up my car. I heard on the radio that if you have dirty spark plugs or wire connectors, your engine can die out. So try that, its my next step next week.
