Default Pinstriping Q's

first off, i have a 2000 es in the lighter sandy/grey color. the pinstriping i have is the stock sticker type and it is peeling in spots and there are 2 or 3 spots where it is completely gone in about 1-2cm spots.

it still looks pretty good even in the bad condition but im thinking about removing it. are there any techniques or anything u have to do to remove it or can u just pull it off. and also would the paint have faded at all or anything or would it leave spots where it used to be?

so do u guys think i should take it off or leave it?

I would leave it alone if it was me. If the paint is not immaculate youll see bright spots where it used to be.

Correct. You'll generally notice where the strip was peeled off, since the paint that was under the strip won't be faded as much as the rest of the car.
If you decide to peel it off though it should pull off fairly evenly. If it doesn't, you can use a hair dryer to heat the strip and than pull it off slowly.

I know what you mean. Im pretty **** about my ride and the few door dings i have are really irritating to look at. Oh well sometimes you cant do anything about that.

You could remove it, and have it professionally re-pin striped

^You also could do a total repaint but thats a lil extreme for some pin stripes. Oh and could you post a pic on this please I would like to see how bad it really is.

I would say take it off but thats just because i hate pinstripes. I dont think the fading should be too bad...I debadged my 94 jetta that has original paint a few months ago and couldnt see any difference. You shoulb be fine but just remember to wax it after you tke it off.
