Engine Light On.. Please HELP !
Hello,
Your computer has stored a code in its memory regarding a failure of a engine component, Possible your O2 sensors or other sensors. Have it diagnosed at a Toyota dealership and they will hook it up to the diagnostic port and get a read out of the code.

You'll have to take it to the dealership or rent a OBDII scanner.
In the mean time, it could be as simple as a "loose gas cap". So make sure the gas cap is tightened 4 clicks. Gas up with the engine off. Reset the ECU by pulling the EFI fuse for about a minute and reinstall.

If it goes back on...it can be a number of things....from the O2 sensors, engine sensors, emissions equipment and in my case a few thousand miles ago...the EGR actuator that set me back $100. Damn California emissions.
Flipside,
Do you see a big diffrence in performance in gas mileage and performance over the denso platinum plugs? I have a 1996 ES300 bone stock and I just had the Plugs changed out with the platinum.

Hehe yeah...sometimes I catch myself starting the car again after it's already on. But since my car was 90,000 miles at the time I changed them, they did make a difference. I'm up to 100,200 miles and they are still running strong.
My only mods are the IK20 Iridiums and K&N Filter drop in.
