Default Performance Chip On Ebay

Has any tried anything like this, did it work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-92...mZ280096051037

After reading a couple of the feedbacks, about 3 people say it isn't what it's supposed to be. A buyer says that it was a piggy back air flow mod. What's that?

help will be appreciated. Thanks

I like the fact that it is for 1988-2006 model years. We should never forget those 1988 Lexuses

There is a long and lengthy explanation of why NOT to purchase something like this on ebay, but I can't find it, so I'll tell you here.

The contents of this "chip" is a simple resistor. It basically plugs into your IAT sensor which is your air temperature sensor. It tells the engine that the temperature you're running at is much cooler than actual, thus giving you a "boost". It really seems as though it will damage your engine in the long run or maybe even your sensor if you're tampering with the temperature settings and "lying" to your car.

Oh yeah, this is about 1-2$ at a local electrician's store...

It's a rat shack resistor... It does not give you any hp gains... it only brings pain.... to your car...
