Thumbs down 3000k Hid Install

ok, so i finally got around to installing my HID foglight kit. What a sad disappointment! after debating whether to use the headlight power source or the foglight power source to power the fogs i decided to use the headlights. This way i cold roll around when i wanted with the fogs and driving lights on, and when i wanted to turn the headlights on i could just turn on the fog switch.

So, after installing the wiring and "a little splice here, a little splice there"i finally finished switching my existing HIDs kit and my new fog light hid kit. next, i test the kit before i finish putting everything back together.

First problem, i turn the kit on and the color is way off! it looks almost like a halogen but has great light output. So its kinda cool but not really; kinda like tuna fish but not really! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Second problem, I have the headlights on the auto setting but when they turn on,only the right light get signal and turns on. PAIN in the @$$!!! but its wierd, when i turn them off and back on both turn on... anyone have any explaination for this???

Pics will be posted soon!

help plz!

and what was the hid kit bulb size, and whered you get it from?

If you didn't have the yellow lens fog, and instead use the 3000k on the clear lens fog, i would assume it would look like what you describe.

Are you getting power from just 1 side of the headlights? i.e. You are running both fogs off of the passenger headlight...

No, i used the headlight power leads to power the HID fogs(on separate sides). In return im using the fog light leads to power the HID highbeams. This allows me to run just the fog lights and running lights when its early evening(this way my headlights arent on). Then when i turn on my fog light switch my headlights will come on.

ok so now that ive explained that..... if my AUTO ON headlight function is in the on position my fogs should turn on and off automatically when it gets dusk, but there in lies the problem. When the auto sensor turns on it only powers up one of my fogs(the right one). Not untill i turn my fogs all the way off then turned back on do both turn on. It seems as if there is some sort of malfunction in the ballast when the auto sensor tell them to turn on or something.

Anyone know how to fix this issue other than not using the AUTO ON function?

This has never occured when my Hid highbeam kit was hooked up correctly to the correct headlight leads when using the AUTO ON func.. but i dont see any problem in switching them around like this for better functionality

i will have pics tonight
