i have a 96 es and as all know the cd compartment is in the trunk. well SOMETIMES when i have the base high the audio would clip (no sound or base for 3 sec). the stange part is only sometimes. so today i took it to Circuit City and they said its the base causing the CD to skip and thats why the clip happens. they said the only way to fix that prob is getting a high end head unit. does anyone else had a 96 experienced this?? or is it just BS from a store doesnt want to fix their mistakes

 

I had a sony MP3 CD changer hooked up in my old ES300, it never skipped even with the Inifinty sub in the trunk, which made a GREAT combo by the way.

if your changer is original you should just consider changing it as its probably on its way out anyhow.
