just bought 95 sc300 with 12 cd changer. the #1 slot cd seems to work fine although some skipping is happening. #2, #3 etc. are inserted correctly, but don't play. I am getting the ERR message. I have read thru the threads. It has been cold here, so maybe that's it? I am hoping there are some troubleshooting ideas out there. I did see the idea of getting an ES300 6 cd changer...that may be the way to do, but I'd sure like to keep my 12er

 

the 12 discs are problematic to say the least-- and are expensive to rebuild or service-- and it doesn't always work well for long when they are serviced back to operation--

3 options--

1= new oem @ $600 (not even close to worth it)

2= es300 6 disc

3= mp3 signal hack--

 

This is EXACTLY what is happening to mine right now. It was fine all summer but it just became sub 50 degrees and now it's wanting to skip every cd but the #1 CD. Would cleaning it help ? Any more suggestions?
