Default Cupholder Illumination?

Several reviews mention this yet I don't see any illumination on my cupholders (UL model). Does anyone else know anything about the mysterious "cuholder illumination" issue?

I've been looking, and looking for a source of illumination, but as of yet, I can't find any, unless they meant the overhead light shines on the cup holder area.

mmhmm... I wonder if they meant those two tiny square lights in the overhead console were meant to shine down on the cupholder area (didn't test drive the car in the dark)

I don't think they're illuminated at all. Is this mentioned anywhere as officially being a feature?

I read somewhere that they were supposed to be illuminated, so this evening I tried everything to see if I was overlooking something.......well, I got some interesting news.....THEY'RE NOT! I hope I'll be able to sleep tonight because I'm totally disappointed. LOL

The small pin light next to the garage door opener shines down on the cupholder area, thus 'illuminating' the area. Thus giving you an illuminated cupholder, as I did read somewhere along the line. But being almost 1am its too late to help you tonite, but I'm sure you've cried yourself to sleep over the Knicks draft...

I want to tie Isiah Thomas to my garage floor and program my homelink over and over again from the comfort of my ES350!

I still don't see it! What and how do you turn it on??

Edit: Yipeee, I found it.....it was the little square leds on the overhead console that shines down on the cupholder........but it sure doesn't afford much light.

Aaaaah thats the key in the phrasing of 'illuminated' not 'lighted'. And when driving alone I can leave it on w/o it affecting my driving, as the illumination level is low and I'm a left-eyed cyclops to boot...lol
