Indash GPS/DVD Installation
I ordered the Pioneer AVIC-N1 for my 98 ES300 and was hoping somebody might be able to link me to an installation guide for the vehicle so I don't have to pay somebody to do it for me
I don't imagine installation will be too bad, but I need to find the VSS wire and I'm not sure where that is located
Also, is there a pictorial guide from removing the stock radio? Not sure how to go about removing it
Last question, is it possible to use the stock CD changer with the unit or will that essentially become useless after installation?

I have a Pioneer AVIC-N2 and it wasent too bad of an installation. I havent been able to hook my CD
changer up to the new headunit and I havent found anyone that has yet either. I guess I would need some type of adapter but I'm not sure.
As far as stereo removal try this.
98-01 ES300 Stereo Removal
And as far as the VSS wire. I just didnt wire it up
. The navi works fine without it and its accurate.
Now I just upgraded my N2 with the navigation disk from the N3. And there's also instructions on how to bypass the DVD and Navi menus while driving. Just check the mobile/navigation section on the forums on the12volt.com. There's a lot of good information on this site and they can answer alot of you questions. Good luck bro. Its not too bad.
