happy easter weekend CL, can anybody show / tell / explain to me how to safely remove the leather covers off of my 2001 ES headrests. there's a plastic clip in there but i don't want to break it off accidentally. i'm looking into getting the headrests custom embroidered with either the "L" or "LEXUS" emblems. let me know if you think it would be a good idea or not, and how i can go about taking the covers off. thx again.
Cool idea....make sure you post pics when they're done
As far as taking the covers off goes....I don't have a clue sorry.
But....If you don't get any useful help in the CL forums (which is rare) you might try taking your ES to an auto upholstery shop for some suggestions. I took mine to a local shop to have a small stitching repair done to the driver's seat. They had the seat out of the car, the leather cover off the seat, the stitching done, and the seat back in in less than 2 hours, so a professional shop could probably easily advise you about removing the headrest covers.
