what's best way to repai seats?
looking at LS that has chunk of leather missing from driver's seat and wondering how I could repair? Or is it better to replace? would I have to buy another seat or is there a way to cover the current seat? Only want to use similar leather...

I have their generic fit on my front seats..much cheaper than custom versions they sell (I don't think they have LS400 custom anyway)

You can go the covers route or you can try to repair your seat. You'll need a subpatch to do this if the hole is like the size of a quarter. Anything bigger, you're pushing your luck that the repair will not hold. If yours is that far gone, I would try to see if there is a group buy going for new leather seat covers.

yup find aftermarket seat leather or oem if its not discontinued. its not to hard to remove and replace a seat cover if you take your time and use the right tools. or you can have a dealer or upholstery shop put seat covers in. remember dont mask the problem actually fix it. slip on seat covers only hide the truth for so long do your lexus right and fix it right the first time.

Also U can check higher end auto dealers for leather restoration. I paid $100 to get both armrests repaired. They filled holes and used some kind of flexible paint (matches perfectly).

Check www.leatherseats.com for leather seat covers. They've been very helpful to me and they are way less expensive than an oem from Lexus.
