when i have the window lock set the driver can't put the windows down. is this the way it is? i hope not

 

That's the way it is on my '97.

 

Yes, that's how it is. Locks all the windows (except drivers). And all other windows cannot be opened until you hit that "unlock" again.

 

I will look further into this to find a solution, but I would say to take out the switches from the door and look at the wiring going into them, esp the window lock buttom, take a dvm and start testing what each wire does, I'll throw up a post on how to fix that when I get a chance to look into it more.
