Exclamation Need help problems after taking door panel off window/lock controller!!

I was repairing the speakers on my 2002 SC 430 and everything seemed to work fine. Till I reconnected the armrest window/lock controller on the passenger side.

When you click to lock the door it does so then automatically unlocks.
None of the 2 buttons are lighting up.
Also power window doesn't work at all.

Furthermore, I've tested the drivers side armrest controller and everything works fine, except locking the door. Whenever you try to lock it, it automatically unlocks. I think since the controller on the passenger side is acting up that its affecting drivers side controls too.

When using the wireless remote lock works fine. Also power window control on the drivers side works fine.

Has anyone had this problem before? Can anyone help me?

If I remember correctly the passanger side needs to just program itself. Raise the window up and down a few times with the driver side, and lock and unloack a few times. On my 2IS a light blinks and when it goes solid is re-programed. Happens everytime you un plug the control.

What bothers me is that the lights aren't even on, on the controller. Theres a single green light on each button and none of them are on. Window open or close button has no response. And locking the door works but goes back to unlock immediately after.

Can anyone who has removed their door panel comment? My version of the sc 430 was produced in Japan and imported to the US for the US Market. I don't know if that would matter but yeah...

robertrios: I'll definitely try your tip though and i'm crossing my fingers hoping to god this works because I have no clue what to do if one of the wires went bad

I went ahead and put the panel back on for the drivers side. I didn't touch any of the controls, just in case it didn't work. I wanted to sleep it off and just enjoy what I did fix for that day... Woke up the next morning to test everything and it worked.

I followed what robertrios mentioned by using the drivers side controls first then the passenger side and voila it worked! the mans a freak'n genius!! thanks again for the tip
