I used a metal radio back strap to bolt the 3ed brake lamp to the metal (from the bottom) rear deck.

Sorry i'm a little late on this. I never read your reply above until now when I folled your link form the "Anyone else have rattle thread". My question is could you elaborate on what you mean here. I was asking how you removed the stock sub from the 3rd brake light assembly as it looks like it is fused in there??
